A splendidly central location high above Wellington's Oriental Bay, Carlton Gore's stylish, friendly accommodation beckons the traveller. Panoramic sea views take in the heart of the city and across Wellington Harbour, making it an interesting place to stay.

Spacious, beautifully furnished rooms and our generous hosts, Janice and Brent are there to greet us. We were made to feel warmly welcome here, appreciating their knowledge of their area which ensured our stay in Wellington was made even more special.

Carlton Gore feels a bit like a boutique hotel. The luxury character 1900's home has a grand floor plan, high ceilings and separate lounge and dining rooms to relax in. Upstairs, the large, top storey lounge affords inspiring views and is often utilised for mini conferences and meetings.

Our French Room, one of four guest suites, was decorated in a modern luxurious style and had the added charm of its own sun-drenched courtyard. Breakfast was a highlight, served communally in the dining room it was a great time to swap experiences with fellow guests.

A walk-way down to the waterfront puts several restaurants within range of the moderately fit, whilst showcasing Wellington's unique architecture, clinging to the hillside. Alternatively city transport passes the door regularly putting a myriad of attractions within reach. A real city haven for the discerning traveller.
