Pulling into the drive of Matangi Oaks you know that you are in for something special. Lovely spacious gardens surround the gracious two storied home.

Clyde and Gloria welcomed us with tea and home baking. They are fantastic hosts with a wonderful sense of humor and great stories to tell.

The downstairs suite with superking bed opens out on to the garden. The upstairs rooms have wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. They are all very tastefully decorated and spacious and we found it the perfect place to spread out and make ourselves truly at home.

Matangi Oaks, situated just 12 minutes from both Cambridge and Hamilton is the ideal place to stop a few days and enjoy the many attractions, horse studs, Mystery Creek, antique shops, and the golf courses. Gloria is happy to join you on the course.

There are numerous cafés nearby, however Gloria is a passionate cook using fresh ingredients from the garden and our choice was to enjoy our hosts company over a wonderful 3 course dinner. Nothing is too much trouble for Clyde and Gloria and they are happy to arrange your ongoing travel, although I am picking you will want to stay right here enjoying this truly wonderful hospitality.
