It is here that we experienced a nostalgic touch of colonialism at its best - the 19th Century villa has been transformed to a luxury retreat with ten beautifully appointed ensuite double bedrooms, stylish and contemporary in keeping with the lovely ambience. Drinks and canapés are served from the expansive return verandah overlooking the croquet lawn and pool, tennis court and pavilion.
We awoke to the sound of Tui to enjoy a leisurely cooked country breakfast. With an award-winning chef on site, sitting down to a fabulous 4 course meal with a truly great wine was an absolute highlight, served at the grand oak table with fellow guests.
