The water at high tide lapped just feet away from the deck of my secluded hideaway.
Five luxury units sit on the water's edge, each with private decks and magnificent views of the Waimea Inlet. It is quiet and peaceful, and yet only 30 minutes from Nelson.
Margaret and Bruce seem to have thought of everything when they designed the interiors of these suites and villas. They are modern, crisp and stylish, with a relaxing ambience and lack nothing in detail including robes, local art, binoculars, pre dinner drinks, cookies and an extensive range of bathroom extras. Each contains a king-size bed, kitchenette, comfortable living space with lounge chairs and coffee table. The bathroom is modern and luxurious.
After a day's adventure you can soak any stress away in the spa bath or enjoy a Chardonnay on the deck, listening to the lapping water and songbirds at sunset. Breakfast is special at Bronte - the food and the setting. The diverse menu may include local fruit juices, croissants, a variety of waffles and omelettes, free-range eggs and the freshest local fruits; and espresso made from locally roasted beans.
Bronte has its own small vineyard, a 13-metre heated swimming pool and a tennis court.
