Located on five acres of land in the heart of the Marlborough wine country, only a few kilometers from the town of Blenheim and surrounded by vineyards, are five charming cottages.
Each cottage is as fabulous as the next. The Old Dairy is quaint and was once the dairy of the homestead, but now it has been redecorated into intimate and cosy accommodation.
The original stables have also been renovated and would be a great choice for a romantic weekend as it is set well apart and has a fireplace to cuddle up in front of.
As it was, I spent a delightful weekend in The Woolshed, the largest of the cottages, which has two bedrooms decorated with memorabilia from the old sheep-shearing days.
The Cottage has been designed to reflect the style of an old cob cottage.
The latest addition is The Shearers Quarters which will sleep 3. A travel cot is also available too.
I enjoyed an early morning wander through the property among the fruit trees (I was encouraged to pick the fruit) and admiring the domesticated and friendly deer, sheep and chickens. Although there are five cottages they are positioned so that guests' privacy is assured.
